Family Campout

Paul grew up traveling to Wyoming near Jackson to camp the first week of every August in Bridger National Forest. His family has gone there every year for decades but it's been 11 years since anyone has made the trip. With the passing of Paul's brother Brian and his grandfather Alan Layton (the man behind the campout in the first place), Paul took his new chance at life and planned this year's campout. It's something we have been looking forward to and we had a blast with all the family and cousins!

We loaded up Paul's truck.

And according to tradition, we stopped at the Cheese Factory in Thayne, Wyoming for Curd and a greasy burger.

Cute Eden standing in front of our favorite Campground Sign

Deer are everywhere.

Eden picked a lot of wild flowers.

Who needs toys when you can explore in the forest from dawn until dusk!

Eden and her cousin also learned about stinky outhouses!

There were art projects for the kids.

She made mud pies in the river

And got her feet wet with cousins.

If you're going to go Camping you eventually need to bathe in the river.

She played with her silly dad.

And cuddled with her mom.

That looks like a gorgeous place for a camping trip! It must have been nice to reconnect with your family after such a tumultuous year!
